The start of the Salty Goat

The owners of the Salty Goat fishing charters, Bruce and Captain Dan, have been friends for over 30 years. Both are retired police officers from the City of Wyoming, Michigan, they worked many of the same assignments over the years and spent countless hours speculating what they would do after leaving public service.

Though their path’s were quite different both ended up in Florida, Dan as a Charter Boat Captain and Bruce working for the government in Aviation Security and then serving 9 years overseas in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After years of dreaming about having their own boat they finally found the right opportunity and following many months of work the “Salty Goat” made her way to her new home at the Galleon Marina in Key West. They look forward to many more years on the water and hope to provide all of their old and new friends with a fun day of fishing in the beautiful South Florida sun!

They would like to extend a special invitation to all of their military/law enforcement/first responder friends (both active and retired) to join them for a day on the water, you all deserve a day of fun and relaxation!
